All: the roster for the Delaware Coastal Running Fest is now open. The event is November 14th in the Rehoboth and Lewes areas, including Cape Henlopen State Park. The start time for the first event is 0700. Operators on the early part of the course will need to be in position by 0630. There will be a few later start assignments in the Lewes area.
This is primarily a mobile and bicycle mobile event due to the wide area it encompasses. There is adequate HT coverage in probably 60-70 percent of the venue, however. “Bicycle Mobile” on the trails in Cape Henlopen State Park, the Gordons Pond Trail, and the Junction and Breakwater Trail would be quite helpful, as these areas are not accessible by vehicle.
Final operation plans will not be developed until after the Safety Meeting with the organizers on the 29th of this month. The primary repeaters will most likely be the 443.550, and 147.330 machines in Lewes. There has been discussion of a cross-band repeater in the State Park. Decisions on channel assignments will be made after the Safety Meeting.
